I have 3 unfinished pine pieces I’ll use as a spice rack (they’re like open-top boxes to be mounted on the wall). I’d like to paint them but i wasn’t looking for a huge, costly project. I thought I could just spray-paint them. Is primer absolutely necessary? Would it be just as easy to use brush-on paint and primer? I’m not looking for perfect results and I don’t want to buy lots of tools & such.

I have a cabinet lazy susan underneath my counter and i would like to find a spice rack that would fit inside of it. Any suggestions or know where i can get one?

That includes the jars, but is NOT pre-filled with spices. I have a cupboard pack with jars and packages of spices, and it’s getting frustrating trying to find the bottle I want. I don’t need any more spices along with a spice rack, that will just add to my problem. I want something that will fit in the cuboard, I don’t have much counter space and I don’t like the look of the magnetic wall ones.

A new twist to an old idea, a practical Spice Rack that retracts into the kitchen cabinet and it can also slide down to ease reaching the upper shelves, perfect for high cabinets (or height challenged users). Can be adopted from 3″ to 7″ width and multiple units can be installed side by side depending on available space in the cabinet. Pretty neat !

I am in the market for a Spice Rack but wanted to know what people think is a most important in a spice rack… in other words what spices must be in it for it to be considered a great spice rack?
I am starting to gather different recipes to cook occasionally, so in reality I don’t know what I really need. I do keep oregano and use it in every meat, poultry or seafood I cook.
I am not much of a cook, all I know how to make is Spanish food (specially Dominican Plates)… but I want to add some variety to my offerings, specially now that I have a great kitchen in which I could accommodate a lot of stuff w/out having to buy everything when I need it.

I just got married three weeks ago and one of our wedding gifts was a spice rack! would anyone have any ideas what spices I should put in my rack all I can think of so far is chilli and garam masala.
